Rhythm

Iambic Pentameter: The poem uses an iambic pentameter, a rhythmic structure used in sonnets. The rhyme scheme is ABABCDCDEFEF FJEOFJ, and is split up into three cantique and a rhyming couplet. It contains 15 syllables every line, with syllables alternating between unstressed and pressured when voiced aloud.
