Thesis: An individual's inconsistant familial relationship, plays a tremendous role in shaping their particular sense of identity.

The value of a person's relationship with all the ‘world' in shaping all their sense of ‘identity', is usually explored through an individual's conflicting familial marriage, which plays a significant position in surrounding their sense of personality. The idea of a conflicting familial relationship is usually shown in both Kate Grenville's novel ‘The Top secret River' and in Robert Lowell's poem, ‘The Dolphin. ' These texts, conveys in depth the hatred between family relationships. These types of texts as well express similar id3eas but in different ways: in ‘the top secret river', a convict challenges to put in force his expert, at the cost of the relationship together with his wife, whereas in ‘the dolphin' a manic depressive poet feels inferior in his conflicting marriage with his past wife, At the Hardwick.
